We found something that changed our son's life.
We couldn't keep it to ourselves.

A word from our founder, Jess Toews

I refuse to see labels or a diagnosis as a limitation [barrier, an end point]. I’ve devoted most of my life and career to working closely alongside physicians, innovators, naturopaths, master herbalists, chiropractors, and researching the latest tools in health.

As a mom to three, I understand the complexities and everyday struggles of raising a family.

My family is the reason Brainvive exists.

My oldest son was hitting all his developmental milestones, but was struggling to keep up at school. He is a gifted athlete and storyteller, but reading homework always turned into fights. Teachers began mentioning how far he was slipping behind in reading and how comprehension was a real struggle. My physician friend suggested there could be something wrong with our son's processing and sensory system. She recommended we travel out-of-state to a specialized center for testing. The team immediately recognized that his eyes were not properly communicating with his brain, and his vestibular system was disorganized.

When he began multi-sensory training, we saw results almost immediately. He went from struggling to keep up in reading to exploding in fluency, speed and comprehension. He also began to regulate his body movements with greater control and ease. He was a new child.

I knew I had to bring this life-changing, drug-free, non-invasive therapy to Atlanta, where we live.

No one should have to go through life accepting the status quo. There is hope for improvement. We see it everyday.

Meet Our Compassionate Team

Jess Toews

For more than a decade Jess has launched, worked, and curated wellness initiatives for some of the biggest names in the integrative health and wellness space.

As a mom to three, Jess understands the complexities and everyday struggles women face. Having lost her dad at an early age to cancer and surviving various other emotional traumas, Jess knows emotional well being is directly connected to physical health.

Working closely alongside physicians, naturopaths, chiropractors, essential oil and certified natural health practitioners over the last decade, she is on the front lines of health so you can live your best life. When she’s not researching the latest health breakthroughs and trends, Jess is often consulting the leading who’s who in natural medicine on how to help others discover their path to wellness. A midwest native, she grew up on the beaches of South Florida and has since ping ponged throughout the southeast. Jess and her international husband Chris have called Atlanta “home” since 2010. Though they met in Sudan while doing international humanitarian aid work, they still credit raising 3 kids together to be their greatest adventure to date.

COO

Chelsea Chiarelli

Chelsea has devoted her career to helping children find their voice — in every sense of the word. A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Science from The University of Alabama, Chelsea completed her externship at the NIMH’s Pediatrics and Developmental Neuroscience Branch and has since spent 11 years working alongside children and families navigating some of the most complex challenges in communication, development, and sensory processing.

Her clinical background spans a wide range of conditions, with a deep specialization in autism spectrum disorder and the sensory and communication challenges that so often accompany it. What sets Chelsea apart is her commitment to looking beyond the surface — drawing on both evidence-based practice and natural healing modalities to support the whole child, not just the presenting symptoms.

Originally from New Jersey, Chelsea brings a warmth and tenacity to her work that clients feel from the very first session. She is known for meeting every child exactly where they are — with patience, creativity, and an unshakeable belief in their potential.

At BrainVive, Chelsea's expertise in sensory integration and communication development makes her an invaluable part of the team. She sees BrainVive's protocol as a natural complement to the speech and language work she has always believed in — addressing the foundational systems that make everything else possible.
